Friday Favorites 3/15/2019

It is a hobby of mine as I read to take some of my favorite quotes and create some fun corresponding graphics to share with others. I hesitate to call it graphic design since I hardly know what I am doing! Most Fridays I share some of these quotes and graphics with you. Feel free to share or use of any of them. I wouldn’t mind the shout out if you do.

This week’s quotes come from Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Dr. Brené Brown, Jemar Tisby, William Gurnall and Simon Sinek.

We must master the art of creative suffering.

Show up for people who are in pain and don’t look away.

Indifference to oppression perpetuates oppression.

Comfort is not essential to duty; it is a bonus which God may or may not give. How well you performed the task He assigned you has nothing to do with it. A traveler may go as fast and cover as much ground when it is cloudy as when the sun shines its brightest. Sometimes, in fact, he can go faster on a dreary day. The warm sun may make him sleepy and cause him to stop and rest, whereas when it is dark and cold, he will spur his horse to reach his destination more quickly. Some graces, like some flowers, grow best in the shade – perseverance, humility, and dependence on God, for instance.

Innovators are the ones whose dreams are clearer than the reality that tells them they’re crazy.
